In this interactive Changemakers session, participants will explore storytelling through photovoice as a powerful tool for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Grounded in the belief that DEI is fundamentally about humanizing one another, this session moves beyond performative narratives to center authentic people-centered stories.
Participants will learn about photovoice as a storytelling technique to help individuals and organizations articulate meaningful DEI experiences—stories that reflect lived realities, community impact, and shared growth. Through guided reflection, peer dialogue, and collaborative engagement, attendees will leave with concrete strategies to form their DEI story with clarity, integrity, and purpose.
This session is designed for staff, faculty, students, alumni, and local educators seeking practical approaches to align storytelling with equity-centered action.
